Learn how to leverage Gitlab as the full stack solution for deploying apps, from code repo through build, to registry and automatic deployment.
I’ve been a system administrator since 1995. Between 1995 and 2000 I built ISPs, wrote client-server Java apps for MCI/Worldcom, and then took over datacenter management for dotcoms in New York. In 2000 I started my own company, and for the next 14 years my company built and managed datacenters for US media companies like MTV/Viacom, BET, Oxygen Media, Lifetime Television, Right Media/Yahoo, and others. In 2007 I opened a second office in Poland, and I lived in Poland from 2008 to 2011. In 2013 I exited the company and moved to Chile, where I live on a farm between two rivers with my wife, two dogs, a cat, peafowl and chickens. I started working exclusively with Docker in 2014, and in 2017 I joined Rancher to bring my expertise in all things Internet to their platform. I now work as a senior member of the Field Engineering team, helping clients around the world succeed in the world of containers.
